The strength of a nation is the sum total strength of its men
I am a young husband and father chasing the duality of the Australian character and manhood - soft hearts and hard hands. I believe that our responsibility to society starts within each one of us as individuals, for, as Robert Menzies said, "what is society but us?" Put another way, the strength of a society is the sum total strength of its men. My hope is to help Australians, whether only a few or a great many, to believe in themselves again.
THE MARK OF A MAN IS NOT A FLASH FACADE OF STYLE AND SWAGGER, OR CULTURALLY STEREOTYPICAL HOBBIES, OR THE ACCUMULATION OF WEALTH, OR THE CIRCUMFRENCE OF HIS BICEP. IT IS THE ADOPTION OF RESPONSIBILITY AND THE TRANSITION FROM CONSUMPTION AND DEPENDENCE, TO PRODUCTION, PROTECTION AND PROVISION.

THE FORGE BOOK CLUB
Reading great books tells us more than stories, histories and theories. They tell us who we are.
The Forge Book Club is designed for people who want to go deep into and discuss literature - those who want to expose themselves to the full breadth of "the great conversation."
The west has a rich literary history, The Forge is here to dig it up.
